The player can select one out of three classes before spawning, being either archer, infantry or horseman of each faction - One faction, the Khergit Khantate is an exception however, having the two classes "lancer" and "horse archer". Some servers specialized on duelling, using deathmatch mode with custom rules. The multiplayer mode features different game types, such as deathmatch, team deathmatch, or the more complex siege mode. However, there are legally modified servers with more than 64 slots, allowing around 100 to 200 players to play the game together. Multiplayer for Mount & Blade Warband includes a lobby with LAN and internet capabilities and rooms with a maximum of 64 players by default. Also the player now has opportunity to found a kingdom and control it. Also, the rents and tariffs from towns, villages, and castles are automatically collected and added to the budget, rather than the player having to run around collecting them. Warband introduced the 'budget' system which allowed the player to have a look at their finances in a single screen, rather than having to calculate how much money they needed for wages by the end of the week themselves. There are, however, a number of new features that include a new faction (the Sarranid Sultanate) that is modeled on medieval Islamic society and a new and improved campaign map that is quite different from the original. The majority of the Singleplayer game mode remains the same. Warband has received a major graphic enhancement over its predecessor and new animations have been added to the combat system. It also features the ability to become King, make Lords your vassals and even get married. It expands the single player of the first game, with a new map and a new faction called the Sarranid Sultanate, which represents the medieval Persian and North African Islamic Kingdoms such as the Moors and Egyptians. The game now features multiplayer capabilities. Warband is the first stand-alone expansion for Mount&Blade and was first announced in January 2009. The game was developed by TaleWorlds and was published by Paradox Interactive on March 30, 2010. Mount&Blade: Warband is the first sequel for the action role-playing video game Mount&Blade.
